Beyond the Windows

Taking inspiration from architectural shapes and textures of the weathered buildings, abstracting and layering in found papers and incorporating other materials from the Derbyshire Textile mills such as thread, fabric, wood and metal.

The work highlights people’s experiences and the history of the mills, evokes memories and aims to encourage people to visit who perhaps wouldn’t have considered it before.
