Workshops & Courses

I run creative workshops in collage, artist books, and drawing. I also lead my signature Sketchbook to Series course once a year, supporting artists to develop a focused collection of work from sketchbook to an exhibition.

I’m available to lead sessions for community groups, galleries, schools, and organisations. I hold an enhanced DBS check and have experience working with a wide range of ages and abilities. Sessions can be adapted to suit individual needs, group dynamics, and learning objectives.

If you’d like to discuss a bespoke workshop or book a session, please get in touch.

Textures of Justice

National Justice Museum, Nottingham

Friday 5th December, 10am-12pm

Join artist Jenny Stevenson for an art workshop inspired by the National Justice Museum’s collection. Together we will look closely at selected exhibits including The Krays’ Shirt, historic hats, and archival ledgers, noticing textures, patterns, and small details that might otherwise be overlooked. Through quick drawings and notes, you’ll gather visual ideas before moving into the workshop space to create your own 9-square collage grid. Using fabric, buttons, trims, ribbon, and paper, you’ll experiment with layering and composition to translate your observations into a series of textured collaged squares. Each grid will be a personal response to the objects and the stories they hold. The workshop is open to all levels of experience, and you will leave with your own collage to take home.

The workshop will be held at
National Justice Museum, High Pavement, Nottingham NG1 1HN

More workshops coming soon!

'I really enjoyed the afternoon. It was a well organised workshop with a lovely balance between instruction and 'go and play'! I am not somebody who always feels comfortable in this type of environment, but your gently encouraging approach put me at ease - so thank you for that.'
